A Letter From A Student of
Mine
Mr. X,
thanks very much for you teaching me for two years. With your help,
I’ve improved my English a lot. Never have I expected that you
won’t teach me in Grade Three. I try to tell myself not to be sad
about it. I’ll keep on going and doing my best in this new class.
At this moment, I can only use the saying “Don’t cry, because it
comes to an end. Smile because it happened.” to express my
feelings.

I am so
grateful to you for showing honor to me and also surprised that you
and so many good students left our class. I had no idea that the
students had be “sent” to the new class at all! It is prejudice
that led to this happening. I think “someone” will be regretful to
make a wrong decision some day. It seemed as if you had “lost
face”, but on the contrary, it gave you a good chance. “When God
shuts a door, he opens another.” The new class might be in a more
district discipline and harmonic atmosphere. I believe you will
make great progress in all the subjects. You should work with a
light heart.
You are a
smart pretty girl and at the same time you are sensible and
thoughtful. You once gave me some good advice and please forgive me
as well as my mistakes in class. The past two years saw everything
and that good time will never fade from my memory.
I’m sorry
I’d like to correct your “composition” again. “thanks” serves as a
noun. eg: “No, thanks.”; “Thanks a lot.”. “Thanks very much
for…”→“Thank you very much for…” By the way, don’t forget to sign
your name and to date your letter.
Thanks
again and blessing to you!
Sincerely
X.
