An Ode to Our Beloved Teachers

—— An Interview with Wang Shiren, Emeritus Professor of English, PKU

Abstract:　In this interview, Prof. Wang Shiren recalls his contact with his beloved teachers in his studying and teaching career (1956-1999) in the Department of English, Peking University. His account enables us to have a better understanding of the history of the Department and its fine tradition.
