online travel market for six years and has a strong reputation
there, but its presence in the fragmental market is still weak.
Chinese online travel companies face many challenges: building
native hotel networks; the lack of transparency in the market with
numerous players; shaping the brand reputation in mass traditional
travel industry; diverse demand from business customers,
etc.
According to China Online Travel research report 2005 released by Analysys International, hotel reservation is the major business of online travel, accounting for 64.96% market share, it is the main income for Ctrip.

authentic travel experience was carried by Trip and Elong. Ctrip is
still the best player in vertical web industry.
