亲爱的澜：

希望你和你的家人一切都好！

最近这段时间一直想给你写信，我知道吴征和你都在为受到这次可怕四川地震影响的人们不知疲倦地忙碌着。Rene跟我都没办法想象，在这个受灾严重的地区，人们是怎样的悲哀和绝望。我们知道许多受这次地震影响的家庭都非常需要援助和支持，而且这将会是持续性的，包括以后的几年里。我们对您一直以来的努力和坚持表示赞赏，相信世界亦不会忘记。

我们想要在您创办的基金会内捐赠一些物品或者款项去帮助那些有需要的人们，我们也要呼吁世界上的每一个人，通过他们自己的方式在力所能及的范围内提供帮助，使那些已经失去很多的人，至少能得到一些物质或者精神上的安慰来让他们的生活继续下去。

Dear Lan,

I hope all is well with you and your family.

I have been meaning to write to you for some time.   I know that Bruno and yourself have been working tirelessly to help everyone who has been affected by the terrible Earthquake tragedy in Sichuan Province.   

Rene and I cannot imagine the sadness and desperation that everyone must be feeling due to the disaster in the region.  

We know that the families who have suffered so deeplywill need support for years and years to come and we commend you on your continued efforts to keep the awareness level high, so that the world will not forget.

We want to make a donation to the foundation you have set up to help those in need.  Please let us know how we can do this immediately.

As well, we urge everyone around the world, to help in some way....to give what they can….so that those who have lost so much, may at least receive some physical comforts to help them move forward with their lives.
