The International Journalists’ Program is taking applications for its Asia-Pacific Fellowship, which gives six to eight journalists the chance to work in a German newsroom. Deadline: January 2.

Journalists from China, South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia will spend May and June working for a German media outlet. Fellows receive EU3,300 (about US$4,840) to cover most travel, lodging, food and health insurance expenses. An additional EU300 (about US$440) will go to fellows who need German language instruction. Fellows are expected to have a good grasp of both English and German.
