The sound of silence，中文译为“寂寞之声”，是美国经典影片《毕业生》中的一首插曲。 20世纪60年代后期好莱坞出品的《毕业生》很好地贴近了现实生活和当时年轻人的思想感情，使好莱坞电影从纯粹的“逃避现实”的消遣品逐渐变成“反映现实”的艺术品。本片的原声带由著名爵士乐钢琴手戴夫．格鲁辛（Dave Grusin）编写，风格偏向清新的民谣风，颇能反映入世未深的大学生心境。
从歌名我们就可以约略知道这首歌的风格了。悠远柔和的旋律，幽深宁静的歌词，低沉又似乎有点嘶哑的声音。那是在黑夜里，一个寂寞的身影漫无目的地晃荡在阴冷黑暗的大街上，而他的一举一动似乎都在诉说着一种思绪，一种心情，一种人生的感悟。那种意境，可以说，是黑色的天空中淡淡的月光衬出的宁静，是蓝色的海面上轻轻的海风吹过的清新，是洁白的雪地里无助的孤鸟飞过的躁动。每一次让思绪沉浸在这种意境里，我似乎就忘记了一切，升华成了一片云抑或是一阵风，飘荡在天地之间，遨游于万物之中。在那里，没有了尘世的浮华和喧嚣，有的只是一种毫无拘束的轻松和惬意。

2、Let It Be

The Beatles过去是，现在是，或许将来也会是有史以来最受欢迎和最成功的音乐组合，他们的音乐是一种无论任何时间、任何地点、任何年龄、任何心情、任何性别、任何种族、任何身份听起来都不讨厌的音乐。1960年John Lennon(约翰·列农)John正式将自已组建的乐团定名为The Beatles并且和汉堡当地的俱乐部签订演出合约，开始闯荡天下。

1969年，他们制作了《Let It Be》这时他们非常疲惫，觉得这些专辑应该是他们最后的作品。不过他们觉得《Let It Be》有点过于悲伤，因此他们又制作了专辑《Abbey Road》。他们在他们开在伦敦的苹果公司的房顶上进行了最后一次演出。1970年4月，“甲壳虫”宣布解散。

　　《Let It Be》这首歌可以说是甲壳虫乐队解散前的最后绝唱，也是反映他们心声的代表作品，表达了乐队解散前其成员复杂的思想感情，在艺术特色上即结合了当时的社会状况，也表达出一定的宗教观念。

3、Cotton fields

歌手：Jimmie Rodgers

一首很有名的美国乡村歌曲.是一首美国传统的乡村民谣，也是农夫们的乡村生活和在田间劳作时感受的真实写照。在美国的发展史上，北部以工业为主，而南部以农业为主，许多大农场、种植园多在南部，种植小麦、棉花、烟草等农作物。因此，《Cotton Field》这首古老民歌就是在这样的劳动背景下产生的。

4、Blowing in the Wind

1962年，当时还只是二流音乐人的鲍勃"迪伦（Bob Dylan）用他特有的沙哑嗓音演绎了这首忧伤的曲子《Blowing In the Wind》整个六七十年代，被称为，所谓“垮掉的一代”的美国叛逆青年，弹着老吉他，哼唱着这首为反对越战创作的曲子，奔赴全世界各个角落追逐他们的梦想。32年后，这首歌被选作《阿甘正传》的主题曲，与奔跑的阿甘一道成为一种前进精神的象征。每每听起，心难免有所感。

这首歌曾入选美国大学教材。如果所有的诗歌都像《随风飘荡》那样简洁又深刻，词曲间流淌着智者的光华，同时又朴实的象民歌，那么现代派的诗人也不会埋怨读者看不懂诗了。
