      2. 要看具体语境：
      
      我们能做夫妻是缘分。
      We are made to be husband and wife.
      
      你是一个很好的人，但是我们没缘份。
      You are a good person, but we don't belong with each other.
      
      3. 书面一点是foreordination.
      
      4. Chemistry 也可以跟缘分有关：
      
      We don't have the right chemistry for each other. 
      Our chemistries don't match.
      
      5. it should be the ultimate fate for people who have fate to come  together in the very end. 
      
      6. 其实英文有一个从梵语翻译过来的词： Karma

      9. “命” is fate, “缘分”is destiny
      
      fate 和 destiny 其实是互为同意词. 都有命运,命运注定,定数,天数,天命等意思.
      fate--SYN. destiny, portion, lot, doom...
      destiny--SYN.fate...(SYN.=synonym同义词)
      
      10. 平时说的缘分也可以用fate, 如:So we're together again, and it must be  fate.(我们又在一起了, 真是有缘分)
      
      但在佛教中严格意义上的那个"缘分"定义则用: destiny - destiny[luck] as conditioned by one's
      past.

      12. 一个如此具有东方（特别是中国）玄妙色彩的词根本不可能用一两个英文词汇概括。但如果随意（不如说是肆意）引申，恐怕越说越没边际了。
