If you are not a foreigner who moves to China to live because of work, or husband's work, you probably do not know that to support this group of people, there are lots of very interesting clubs around in China.

 Moving to a new country is not easy, especially if you do not speak the language nor do you have a lot of friends. Luckily,  there are lots of professional organizations such as the American Chamber of Commerce, The Foreign Correspondents Club.European Union Chamber of Commerce.  But if you do not work, and you are a housewife, you will be joining other clubs such as  Australian Women Social Club, The Consular Spouses Club catered to the Consulate Generals spouses,  or the Women Expat Association.  All these clubs are resally interesting.  They really do take care of their members.  they cater to their needs.  But most interestingly, they make most of their events charitable events and raise a lot of money for the Chinese.for example, last year the American chamber of commerce annual dinner raised over 2 million rmb to build maternity clinics in poor parts of the West of China.  we were able to build like 25 of them.    They support schools, volunteer to be teachers, build clinics,  provide all kinds of help to the poor  their achievements are really impressive.

 

 The other day, I invited a group officers of the American women's Club to my store HOUSE OF YUESAI to lunch.  I had the best time with them.  Such a great group of gals.  they are from all over the United States. Normally here for about 4 years, but they really make the most of it.  what also impressed me a lot is how well run these clubs are.  This club has over 800 members!  They run like a small company with a pretty and very likable President Myszka, and 2 very capable Vice Presidents Kathy and Beth.  Then there are the membership department, advertising department, newsletters, activities department . How wonderful life is so full of surprises and delights.
