It has been a terrible day today upon hearing the news of the former 2 times Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto having been assassinated.  She was a friend of mine for so many years!  I knew her while she was the PM of Paksatan, also when she was in exile in London.  She used to travel to New York City a lot.  I used to see her for dinner and parties and she used to come to my home for dinners.  We have a lot of mutual friends all over the world. 

 

She was very beautiful, attractive and very very intelligent.  I did not much like her husband whom I was told was not a nice man. He used to flirt with other women openly in the public.  I did not like that behaviour. 

 

As you may have read, she was killed in Pakistan as she was the leader of the biggest political party in Pakistan and running a very good opposition campaign against President Musharaff.   Life is so fragile.  So many things can take it away, especially if there are people who WANT to kill you.   I feel really sad today.
