恐怕没有一支乐队能像Pet Shop
Boys那样把音乐作的那样奇怪——流行、欢快的节奏和旋律下却是深刻的内涵和冷漠的演唱。他们那带点黑色幽默的MTV则更出色，Neil
Tennant总是面无表情的面对镜头，要么就是垂下头，一付无奈的样子；Chris
Lowe责更夸张：站在Neil
Tennant的后面，戴着墨镜，东张西望，做着与拍摄Video一点也无关的事。但他们的这种淡漠和神秘的气质却使人们自始致终为他们所吸引。
Pet Shop Boys 成立于 1981
年，是一支富于创造力的流行音乐双人组合，成员是Neil Tennant和Chris
Lowe。Chris Lowe最初在一支酒吧乐队 On under the Eight 中演奏，Neil
Tennant在英国流行音乐杂志《Smash
Hits》当记者。同样热衷于电子舞曲的两个年轻人邂逅于一家电器商店，他们很快有了相间恨晚的感觉，两人谈得甚为投机，于是有了组建一支乐队的想法，又因为他们有一位在宠物店工作的朋友，所以乐队就取名Pet
Shop Boys，这听起来像故事一样。
PS:世界杯的每场比赛结束后都会播放 Pet Shop Boys 的 Go West,有些人对电子音乐是很不屑的,不知道这首歌曲是否会改变他们的看法...
