萨尔浒，满语，意为木橱，森林丰富的意思。萨尔浒景区和大伙房水库山水相连，因为保护水源，没有开发旅游，所以游人罕至。景区内很多林木为原生林，树种丰富，野趣横生，空气新鲜，景色秀美。
