皇后乐队的吉他手Brian May说，皇后乐队在美国巡演时，MJ经常来观看演出。他和Freddie成了亲密朋友，还一起在MJ家录了几首歌，但从来没有发行。

Freddie从MJ家回来以后，给乐队成员演奏了他们的工作进展，他还说MJ提出要录一张伟大的专辑，叫BAD。后来，Freddie露出了一点坏坏的阴谋得逞的笑容，说“对我们的专辑题目，我有一个完美的主意，不管你喜欢不喜欢，但考虑一下……有了……就叫GOOD！”
