由于06年ORS开始改革，正好偶今年也申请。看了精华区里关于ORS的介绍，发现已有很大变化。这几天坛子里有很多人询问关于ORS的事情，所以偶就写了一点关于ORS的东东，希望对大家有用。

　　1。　什么是ORS？

　　ORS是由英国政府提供的奖学金，金额为国际学生与本土(或欧洲)学生的学费差额。ORS一般只对全日制研究生(full-time postgraduate research study)开放申请，本科生和授课式研究生(undergraduate or taught postgraduate course )不能申请。

　　2。 申请ORS的条件(本人英语太烂，就不翻译了，免得误人子弟"_")

　　a)　you must be liable for the overseas fee　(you will need to check this with your institution)　

　　b)　you must be of outstanding merit and research potential　

　　c)　you must not have previously completed at PhD or equivalent level　

　　d)　you must not have held an ORS award before　

　　e)　the Department or School in which you wish to study must support your application。

　　3。 ORS评审准则

　　两个：(1)　学术能力(academic ability)；(2)　研究潜力(research potential)。
