    考研英语一多次出现精神品质类、学习读书类话题，可以说本次作文也是“旧瓶装新酒”，例如：2001、2004、2007、2008、2012年考到过爱心、持之以恒、自信、合作和乐观的话题；2016年考到子女教育话题。总之，考研大作文的写作如果曾细致复习往年真题，相信这次的写作也不再话下。此外，本次作文主要写到“读书”、“脚踏实地”均为切题。

    These two pictures are particularly worth concern for the reason that the painter focuses his eyesight on what the truly reading is. In the first cartoon, there is a youngster, sitting leisurely and comfortably in a chair and flaunting his large number of books, with no book in hands. However, in the right picture, although the guy has just a few books, he has made his mind to try his utmost to read 20 books in this year. Several Chinese characters, finally, can be noticed, which say “having books” and “reading books”.

    In the contemporary society, a host of people prefer to purchase, store and even flaunt their books, but they may never read any books. This trend is rather ridiculous. As a matter of fact, every one should bear in mind that books should be read not be boasted. As a positive habit, reading books brings us knowledge, arouses our enthusiasm for future life and helps us to enhance our quality. It is books that enable us to build up not only knowledge, but also a confidence, optimism and courage to face any adversities in life, work and study. Unfortunately, many people have books but never read, which has constituted an obstacle that hinders their growth and progress.

    I, as a college student, am convinced that the society as a whole should forge a wholesome atmosphere to advocate, educate and encourage all people to not only purchase books, but also to be absorbed in reading books.
