Hope for the best, prepare for the worst

    Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is my favorite English saying, which reflects my senior school’s experience.

    First of all, the saying means that we should make full preparation for the coming examination while thinking about the results seriously.

    Now I am in the senior school, and have been working hard to prepare for the college entrance examination.

    And I dreamt of being admitted into a top university. But, as you know, the senior students are suffering from heavy burden in order to get good marks every day. I don’t know whether I can achieve my goal. It is very important to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

    If I can't pass college entrance examination, I should have a positive attitude towards failure. I should be self-confident. I may find other jobs. I believe I can achieve success only if I work hard. There are three hundred and sixty trades and every trade has its master.

When I was in the senior school, I worked hard to prepare for the college entrance examination.
