https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/2025-audi-a6-avant-e-tron-trades-the-traditional-side-mirrors-for-cameras-in-new-spy-shots-224119_1.jpg

A6 Avant e-tron
Macan EV
A6 e-tron
当它首次亮相时,可能在几个月内,Sportback(轿车)被认为是第一款,紧随其后的是Avant(旅行车),A6

2025 Audi A6 Avant e-tron Trades the Traditional Side Mirrors for Cameras in New Spy Shots

It's been a couple of months since we last laid eyes on the Audi A6 Avant e-tron, but the upcoming zero-emission model is back under the spotlight courtesy of a new set of spy shots that recently ended up in our inbox.
The
battery-electric executive station wagon looks the same as the
previously scooped tester. These include the split headlamps, rear
lighting signature, bumpers, and everything else. Even the wheels
are unchanged from the previous tester, and we would have normally
added these new images to the previous story and called it a
day.
However, there
is a key feature here that has made us write it up all over again.
Can you tell what that is? If you paid attention to the title, you
know that instead of the traditional side mirrors, this
Audi A6 Avant
e-tron had rear-facing cameras
hooked up to two individual screens inside. We can also see that
the brake calipers haven't been painted red this time around, and
the car appears to have a slightly more increased ground clearance,
which, if correct, it would translate to a comfier
ride.
Both the Avant
and the Sedan versions of the first-ever Audi A6 e-tron are
underpinned by the Volkswagen Group's PPE architecture dedicated to
electric vehicles. This is also the same platform used by the
upcoming Porsche Macan EV, and it supports the 800-volt tech. We
cannot tell you about the powertrain family yet as the details are
scarce, but the lesser models should feature single-motor
assemblies, whereas the upper specs are expected with dual-motor
setups.

An
RS-badged version of the
Audi A6 e-tron is also in the cards, at least when it comes to the
four-door body style. Nonetheless, there is no reason to suspect
that this powertrain, complete with the specific chassis tune,
beefier brakes, and exterior styling inside and out, won't find its
way to the station wagon to turn it into an all-quiet alternative
to the RS 6 Avant, presumably with over 800 horsepower available at
a hard push of the right pedal.
When it
debuts, likely in a few months, with the Sportback (sedan) believed
to be the first one, shortly followed by the Avant (estate), the A6
e-tron will take on the likes of other similarly-sized
EVs.
The wagon
model will take a swing at the BMW i5 Touring, but the Mercedes EQE
is safe, as it only comes in the four-door configuration, unlike
the regular E-Class that is available in both body styles. We
expect it to make its way to showrooms on this side of the pond for
the 2025 model year, and we think not only the sedan
but also
the station wagon will launch in our market.
