Introduction
引出主题:The wish to be working at a position that is enjoyable and is likely to last forever is shared by most of us. However, in reality, we often, if not always, have to painstakingly make a choice between what we have real passion for and what relieves us of the anxiety of being unemployed.
Body 1: 让步段,没有人希望失业。
Undoubtedly, unemployment is desirable to nobody (although sometimes we do believe that we could die for an early retirement). With the fear of being the victim of the unfavorable condition of a company or the recession of the general economy, many people tend to seek for a position in the government, the public school and hospital in which they seem to be the least likely to be unemployed.
Body 2: 能从工作中得到满足感,进而努力工作使自己难以被取代,这才是保住工作的根本之道。
However, those seemingly stable employers offer limited positions, and the quality of employers is only one of the factors that lead to job security. In order to obtain a real guarantee of their future, people have to count on themselves. In other words, whether an employee is willing to fully display his/her personal strength so as to make himself/herself indispensable to his/her employer fundamentally determines his/her job stability, and one’s willingness to perform better in his/her job is majorly determined by whether he/she is satisfied with this job.
Body 3: 进一步论述job satisfaction的重要性:关乎人们的生活质量。
Further, people’s attitude toward their jobs remarkably affects the quality of their life, since most of us spend at least 1/3 of our lifetime working. Our life shows its friendly side when we enjoy what takes us eight hours a day doing, and its hostile side if we stick to a position that is unbearable but durable. 【例证】Imagine a lighthearted pleasure-seeker working as a tax accountant merely with the purpose of getting rid of worry of being unemployed, how pathetic his/her life will be! By contrast, a freelancer, although having to constantly bother himself/herself with the next job and enough salary to give himself/herself a decent life, is far more likely to live in a satisfying way.
To draw a conclusion, when having to make a choice, it is more sensible for a person to choose the satisfaction, rather than security in a job.
