和美国干上了

最近业余时间的工作都是美国的问题，现在觉得对美国的人文地理比对中国的都熟悉。

迈阿密市（ Miami, Florida, a popular vacation spot）位于美国佛罗里达半岛南端，属热带气候，温暖湿润，海岸风景秀丽，是美国著名的旅游胜地。一年四季的亚热带气候，延绵不绝的白色沙滩占据了全美国沙滩的四分之一长度，2004年，将近6百万的来自世界各地的海上游轮旅客光顾了这个城市。由于一年四季的亚热带气候加上绝无仅有的海岸风景，吸引了全世界的巨贾在这里投资房地产，也同时使这里成了投资与寻找资金的集聚点。仅游轮和货物转口就给迈阿密每年带来超过140亿美金的收入。高耸入云的商业大厦，车水马龙的交通，鱼贯出入的各国商船和椰林、沙滩、比基尼相辉映，交织成令人神往的画面。阳光、沙滩几乎成了迈阿密的代名词。

As the gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, Miami is a growing center of international trade and commerce. Tourism is one of the area's most important industries.
Millions of visitors flow through Miami International each year. They come to do business and enjoy the area's countless pleasures. They also join millions of others who cruise to the Caribbean from the busiest passenger cruise port in the world, the Port of Miami.

圣路易斯(Saint Louis) 美国中西部水陆交通枢纽，密苏里州最大城市。位于密西西比河与密苏里河汇合处以南。

以法国国王路易九世的名字命名。

St. Louis, sometimes written Saint Louis, encompasses an independent city in the U.S. state of Missouri (the "City of St. Louis") and its metropolitan area (Greater St. Louis). This area includes counties in the states of Missouri and Illinois. St. Louis is the largest metropolis in Missouri and the 18th largest Metropolis in the United States. The population of Metro St. Louis as of 2005 is approximately 2,786,728 according to the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA).

丹弗Denver,科罗拉多州Colorado首府。位于该州中北部，落基山弗朗特岭东侧，大平原西缘，密苏里河支流南普拉特河和切里河的会合处。美国西部交通运输枢纽。7条铁路干线在此交汇，多条高速公路、横贯大陆公路及州内公路线穿越市区。城东北的斯泰普尔顿国际机场，辟有19条航线与国内外联系，客、货运量居国内前列。

Denver has also been known historically as the Queen City of the Plains because of its important role in the agricultural industry of the plains regions along the foothills of the Front Range. Other nicknames that Denver has had include The Rail City, for the city's importance as a North American rail hub, and Capital of the Rocky Mountain Empire, for the city's preeminence in the Rocky Mountain region. Several US Navy ships have been named USS Denver in honor of the city.

洛杉矶Los Angeles有80种人种，80种语言，84个区，可谓是世界上最大的种族大熔炉。地中海式气候的洛杉矶冬暖夏热，使得各种树种得以茁壮成长，洛杉矶是一个阳光和水分都很充足的移民城市。洛杉矶原本为全美第三大城，而在1982年超越芝加哥，跃升第二。至于第一名,纽约嘛。

好莱坞是洛杉矶最富有魅力的地区。此地不光有名声显赫的宾馆，还有常有明星光顾的餐厅和走在流行前端的店铺和夜总会。日落大道（Sunset Strip）、博物街（Museum Row）、农夫市场（Farmers Market）、梅尔罗斯大道（Melrose Avenue）、好莱坞露天音乐剧场（Hollywood Bowl）、罗迪欧大道（Rodeo Drive），世纪城（Century City）以及盖蒂中心（Getty Center），都是当地值得一游之处。除此之外，格里菲斯公园和环球影城(Universal City Studios)也位于附近。

Los Angeles, known as "L.A." or the "City of Angels", is the most populous city in the state of California and the second-most in the United States. One of the world's major global cities, it is located in Southern California and has a population of just over 4 million people. In addition, the city is a leading producer of popular entertainment—such as motion pictures, television, and recorded music—which forms the base of its international fame and global status.
