现在进行时用来表示某类情绪

现在进行时有时可表示一个经常性动作,这时都表现某类情绪

1)You’re always leaving your clothes on the floor! 你老把衣服扔在地上!(责备)

2)My father is always losing his car keys. 我爸老丢车钥匙。 (不满)

3)She is always thinking of her work.她老想到她的工作。(赞许)

4)He is always boasting. 他老爱说大话。 (厌恶)

5)Our vicar is always raising money for one cause or another but he has never managed to get enough money to have the church clock repaired.(不满)

这类句子常带有always, constantly, forever, continually, perpetually 这类副词,显出强调或夸张的意思。如果改成一般现在时,就只是说明事实,而不表示情绪。

《双城记

In the meantime, it is always preparing, though it is not seen or heard. That is your consolation. Keep it.'

`I tell thee,' said madame, extending her right hand, for emphasis, `that although it is a long time on the road, it is on the road and coming. I tell thee it never retreats, and never stops. I tell thee it is always advancing.

 

《傲慢与偏见》

 But you are always giving her the preference.''
