芝加哥艺术博物馆（The Art Institute of Chicago）以收藏印象派作品著称。
很喜欢克劳德·莫奈（Claude Monet，1840－1926年）的作品。莫奈《印象·日出》是印象派名称由来。虽然我没有看过这幅画，但芝加哥有非常丰富的莫奈作品。几张《草垛》的集体展示非常有震撼力。
莫奈对光影的运用达到了极致。
我心中最好的西方油画家。
