教学流程:

Step1.  Free talk

Let’s guess.

Today we’ll learn about Australia.

Step2.  Learn Part I

1. The children will learn about Australia next week.

How will they learn about it?

2. Read and match

3. Let’s check.

Mike will ask his e-friend.

Wang Bing will ask Mr Green.

Liu Tao will read about it on the Internet.

Yang Ling will go to the library.

4. Learn the left part.

5. Let’s think: How can we get information when learning about a new country?

Step3.  Learn Part II

1. At home, Liu Tao is reading about Australia.

Let’s read with Liu Tao together.

Turn to page 59 , read and underline the things about Australia.

1. Look at the national flag of the UK and Australia.

  Why do they have the same part?

  ( Australia was the colony of the UK.)

2. How’s the weather there?

 

3. What’s the capital of Australia?

  ( Canberra)

4.Sydney Opera House is very famous, do you know other famous places in Australia?

(Gold Coast, Great Barrier Reef, Philip Island)

   板书上多了: capital, places, weather.

Step5.  Be an Australian Tour Guide

1. Work in groups of four.

2. Each student says one aspect.

3. You can add your own ideas.

The world is colourful. Enjoy our life. Read more, travel more.

   Step6.  Homework

    1. Read and recite the story.
