7B Unit5 Reading I A ghost in the park

Analysis of Teaching Material
    Type: The selected teaching material is taken from Grade 7 Unit 5 A ghost in the park.
    Topic: It mainly talks about the story happened in the Sunshine Park
    Status Function: It is in the important position because it arouses ss' reading interest and
provides the basic information for Ss to use in the speaking and reading process
Analysis of Students
    Students: They are teenagers in Grade 7 and interested in stories
    Their characteristics: They are active and have great passion in English learning
    Their English level: They have different levels and studying capabilities
Teaching Objectives
Based on the analysis of teaching material and Ss, I think we should achieve the following teaching
leaves.
1. Language Capability(语言能力)
   (1)To get a first impression of the past tense
   (2) To get the main idea of the story
   (3)To leam some reading skills.
   (4)To leam some expressing skills
2. Learning Capability(学习能力)
 To master different reading strategies.
3. Cultural awareness(文化意识)
 To be kind to the animals and people
 To be willing to try their best to make our world a better place to live
4. Thinking Quality(思维品质)
 To enhance reading effect by self-reading, comparing, analysing and cooperating
Key Points and Difficult Points

(2)To get the main idea and details by different reading strategies.
(3)To leam some expressing skills.

Teaching Procedures
Step 1: lead-in
Step2: Read the title and the guide
1. Who went to Sunshine Town?
2. Who wrote the story?
Step 3: Skimming
1. How many characters are there in the story?
2. Who are they?
Step 4: Scanning
I Ask spme questions about the six elements of a story: who/when/where what how why
2. Read for structure and choose the proper title for each part Hear the"ghost"/Find the "ghost"/ Help the“ghost"
3. Consolidation: Ask and answer in pairs. /Retell what Andy did in the park.

6. Reading skills: Guess the meanings: reply (Guess according to the antonyms)

1.“词汇云图”找到重点词汇;语法为一般过去时(先教学Grammar部分)。2.阅读教学体现核心素养的方法:从标题预测文章主要内容,了解文章大意。细节阅读:who, what, where, how, when, why引导学生思考;锻炼学生的思维品质;用first, second, ...finally让学生学会复述课文,同时教学写作的方法,提高学生的学习能力。
