      Master an English Word

When I went to a middle school to be a junior student, I began to study English, as you know, a word is a basic stone of a language building. To learn a foreign language is to grasp its word.

So I asked my teacher how to grasp a word.

     My teacher told me “Follow me”. After then I learned many many words from him. Little by little I found my teachers taught us the word list according to a word’s form\ soundmark\ meaning\ part of speech\ make sentence with it.

After that I studies on my own using his teaching ways. I grasp nearly twenty thousand vocabulary, all the time I learning English words depend on this way. But recently I found new methods after I review my word list. Now let me share it with you.

Besides the former fives steps to learn a word, we would add two items. One is association, the other is pragmatics. 

Now we explore the association:

I think its association should involve synonym and antonym\ affix(prefix and suffix)\gang and its match\ phrase and idiom\

Go on to explain here pragmatics:

first is to make sentences with them, pay much more attention to a verb in various tenses and two voices. Nouns in members of a sentence, especially subject and object. And so on the parts of speech in the sentence to be as a member.

Secondly what we should concerned is intertranslation into English and our native language. In this linguistic occasion we can be aware of a word including its more meaning chosen. It make you recall to pick synonyms.

Thirdly when we use the listening\speaking\reading\writing and translating-five-way teaching and learning, we should take enough care of their ancient and today, English and American even other nation’s forms, the more we get Chinese meaning of a word, the better we can use it, namely it can be rich in accumulation of presentation. When you interpret you can output the appropriate word to express.

Now closing thought give you.

In one word, we depend on ratios of reproduction recite a word or a paragraph. So we educate  Ss to magnify their reading amounts. Listen, speak, read, write and translate, one word is repeated five times. If you adopt my teaching ways, you should add a few more repeats. You know what I mean: repeat and review is the mother of learning a language.
