一.教学内容
人教版高中英语选修7 第五单元(Travelling Abroad)
二. 教材分析
本单元以Travelling
abroad and studying abroad为话题,旨在通过单元教学,使学生获得旅游、旅居国外方面的通用知识,开阔眼界,以及旅游方面的英语表达。使学生了解在国外旅行或学习时可能会遇到的一些问题,并学会怎样去解决问题和避免这些问题的发生。学会表达个人观点,能用所学的有关travelling
abroad的词汇描述在国外居住生活的情况。
本节课主要是通过“warming-up
& pre-reading”部分的学习,使学生了解了在国外学习生活时可能面临的困难以及怎样解决这些困难。Warming
Up让学生说说想去哪个国家去旅游或学习并用已有的知识和经验讨论在国外学习或旅行会遇到什么问题。Pre-reading是Reading的热身活动,要求学生采用与同学讨论交流的方式谈论在国外学习的利与弊,为正文的阅读做好知识上和心理上的铺垫。Reading是一篇介绍中国女孩谢蕾在伦敦学习和生活的情况,让学生通过实例对比在国内学习生活与在国外学习生活的不同,从而培养他们的国际视眼。
三、学情分析
1.情感和认知方面:学生对国外的学习生活情况了解是很感兴趣的。在以往的学习阅读中对国外的生活学习也有所了解,但不是很具体。这篇关于中国女孩在伦敦学习和生活情况的介绍和他们的生活比较贴近,在在预读,学习,讨论时会觉得比较亲近熟悉。

and so on.
2. Guide the students to summarize
the benefits and difficulties of living in a foreign
country.
六. 教学方法
1.演示法:通过相关的图片、PPT等网络多媒体辅助显示给学生看,便于学生对基础知识和背景知识的把握,并从旧知识中获得启迪,从而达到解决问题的目的。
2.任务驱动教学法:将所要学习的新知识隐含在学生的课堂活动之中,学生通过对所提的任务进行分析、讨论,并在老师的指导和帮助下找出解决问题的方法,最后通过任务的完成而实现对所学知识的意义建构。
3.多媒体辅助教学法:把有关国内外的名声风景的图片、文本、音视频等信息融合在课件中,可以增加课堂信息量,扩展学生的知识,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣,提高教学效率。
七、学习方法
根据《高中英语新课程标准》要求,结合我们班学生英语基础与能力较弱的实际,本课时我把每个教学环节所设计的问题和任务区分出高低不同的层次,由浅入深,循序渐进,使每个教学环节尽量符合多数学生的认知水平,力争大多数同学都能积极参与课堂活动。通过各种课堂活动,引导学生自主学习,培养学生 “识读”、“寻读”、“定位”、“推理归纳”等阅读方法;通过互动,讨论等活动,进行合作学习。
八、教学策略与设计
1.本节课设计的基本理念是基于高中英语课程强调明确英语学习目的,发展学生语言表达,自主学习和合作学习的能力;形成有效的英语学习策略;培养学生的综合语言运用能力。因此,在设计此阅读课时重在培养学生的阅读策略、语感和学生在阅读中获取和处理信息的能力,尤其是对信息的归纳能力。
九、教学过程设计
Step 1: Words revision and check-up. Have the students
quickly go through the words previewed the day before and checked
them up by giving them a dictation of around 10 – 15
words.
Step 2. Leading-in. Show some wonderful pictures of the famous sceneries or landscapes home or abroad for them to enjoy and identify, so as to arouse the students’ interest of travelling to those mentioned thereof, studying or working aboard. We may ask the questions as below:
T: What is this?
S: It is London Bridge Tower?
T:Where is it?
S:It is in Britain/England.

High-light the benefits of travelling abroad as the followings:
1. What benefits can you get best by travelling in a foreign country?
2. What benefits can you get best by working or studying there?
3. How difficult do you think it is to adjust to the customs of another country?
Step 3. Warming-up

After enjoying the nice pictures, the students may have high interest to study or work in foreign countries. Then we may propose some questions as below to motivate their wills.

Step 4. Group work or

Based on what we have learnt so far,
show them some pictures of studying abroad and then ask the
students to discuss “ What are the advantages and disadvantages of
studying abroad?”

Then finalize the correct information and ask them to fill in the form on the book.
