 《典范英语(9)》《秘密花园》的教学设计(1)

A Simple Teaching Plan for The Secret Garden 

 

Teaching time: January 17, 2013, 14:30-15:10 p.m.

Teacher:      Zhang Rong

Students:     The students from VCE 10C

Studying material(学习材料): The Secret Garden (Book 1 of Good English 9)Studying aims(学习目标): We shall be able to

     1. have a better understanding of the story, and get a clear idea of its structure; (更好地理解小说内容,清楚小说的结构)

      2. develop note-taking skills and build vocabulary by making an analysis of some main characters;(通过分析小说人物,培养以“短语形式记笔记”的技能,构建词汇学习)

      3. try to think independently and critically, and speak confidently, and work cooperatively;(努力进行独立、批判性的思考,自信表达,友好合作)

      4. get morally educated, having a positive attitude towards the people and things around us.(受到品德上的教育,对我们周围的人和事有积极、乐观的心态)

Teaching tools: Multi-media equipment,etc.

 

Teaching procedures(教学过程):

 

Step 1 Basic Training(基本训练)

     1. Asking the student on duty to give a daily report.(值日生汇报)

     2. Discussing the presentation.(讨论值日汇报)

 

Step 2 Understanding the story (理解小说)

1. Learning about the author of the story, and its structure.(了解小说作者及结构)

2. Checking the students’ understanding of the synopsis of the story.(理解小说梗概)

3. Learning about the characters of the story. (了解小说人物)

4. Role-playing the plot(Pages 64-67) in Chapter 10. (表演第10章第64-67页上的内容)

 

Step 3 Note-taking skill training and vocabulary building(记笔记技能训练与构建词汇)

Developing note-taking skills and build vocabulary by making an analysis of some main characters; (通过分析主要人物,培养“以短语形式记笔记的技能”,并构建词汇学习)

 

Step 4 Extensive practice (拓展训练)

1. Focusing on the ability to infer from the literal meaning of the text and the moral lesson implied in the text. (训练“根据小说字面意义推理深层含义的能力”,理解隐含的品德教育)

2. Having a discussion about an issue related to our school life. (Optional) (讨论学校生活中的一个问题)(备用) 

 

Assignments:

     1. To read the story The Secret Garden again and try to pick out some important

expressions to remember and to use in your own writing. (再读小说《秘密花园》,从中挑出

一些优美的表达方式来加强记忆,并在写作中运用)

     2. To write to our school leaders a report on how to make better use of our school farm. (给我们学校领导写一个关于如何更好地利用我们学校“生态农场”的报告)

    说明:这是一节《典范英语》课题实验研讨公开课的教学设计。由于课上第一环节的“学生Daily report”占了较多的时间,原设计中的部分内容没有能够在课堂上实施。教师如能在课上有效控制各环节的时间,这些预设内容的学习效果可能会更好些。
