在这张新专辑中，珍妮佛除展现个人创作的才华，更首次与Martin Davich、Elliot Scheiner共同担任制作，并再次网罗了前两张专辑的多位优秀班底及更多跨越民谣（Arola Guthrie, Van Dyke Parks）、蓝调／摇滚（Doyle Bramhall II）、流行／爵士（Steve Pocaro, Dean Parks, Kenny Edwards）等乐风的超级创作大师／乐手。
专辑中光是录音技术部分就动用超过十五位高手，精心镕铸这张风格融合了流行／民谣／乡村／蓝调／爵士特质的作品，专辑中的11首歌曲分具特色，有充满乐观精神、乡村民谣摇滚气息浓厚的标题曲［The Well］，翻唱自Naomi Nevill名曲，复古而带有蓝调感伤的“It''s Raining”，翻唱纽约籍蓝调鬼才Tom Waits1976年的仿纽奥良蓝调精品“Invitation To The Blues”别具酒吧蓝调柔情特质；还有比Billy Joel版本还叫人心醉的“And So It Goes”；比Arlo Guthrie的版本更振作心弦的“Patriot''s Dream”，更有与传奇的南方蓝调摇滚创作歌手／制作人Doyle Bramhall合唱深情典雅的爵士经典新唱“You Don''t Know Me”。
虽然封面很容易被误认成新世纪音乐专辑，专辑虽然仅有短短48分钟，却值得乐迷们八年的等待。
