世界上最古老、最优秀的维也纳童声合唱团被世人称为“歌唱的天使”，并与维也纳爱乐乐团共同被视为奥地利的国宝。作为世界最杰出的音乐团体之一，维也纳童声合唱团多年来执着于其辉煌的传统和历史。这些身着海军服的小天使，每周都在维也纳的皇家大教堂中演唱，他们还接受邀请，每年数次到德国、英国、美国、加拿大等欧美和亚洲国家进行巡演。他们天使般的歌声，风靡全球。

维也纳童声合唱团虽然是一个儿童合唱团，却是一个有着上百年悠久历史的优秀合唱团体，正是因为其良好的传统，才使得它经久不衰地延续下来。他们不仅有自己的专场节目，还经常和一些世界着名的歌唱大师合作，可见其水准的不凡。虽然团队历史悠久，可是作为一个合唱团团员，他们的歌唱生命则十分短暂。人们常常把这个残酷的事实比做昙花一现，虽然只是瞬间的辉煌，却依然给人留下了美好的回忆，成为奥地利人民的骄傲和个人荣誉的象征。
