专辑介绍：
刘明源（1931—1996），生于天津市红桥区，父亲从医并酷爱民间音乐、戏剧，会拉一手好胡琴。刘明源五岁开始随父亲学拉板胡和京胡，七岁就开始在天津中国大戏院登台演出，十五岁开始其艺术生涯。演奏技巧娴熟，艺术风格洒脱而细腻。创作、改编并演奏的《马车在田野上奔驰》《秦腔牌子曲》和《大起板》等板胡曲，形象生动，扣人心弦。刘明源从1952年至1982年一直从事电影工作。1953年中央新闻电影制片厂乐团（中国电影乐团前身）成立了我国第一支专业民族乐队，刘明源先生即担任了该乐队的首席。历任乐队副队长、队长等职。参加录制了《伟大的土地改革》、《祝福》、《林家铺子》、《红旗谱》、《地道战》、《野火春风斗古城》、《梅兰芳舞台艺术》等上千部片子。在中国和国际乐坛中，享有“中国弓弦乐之圣手”的称誉。他与刘天华，华彦君（即瞎子阿炳）一起被尊称为“胡琴三大宗师”。1982年起担任中国音乐学院器乐系教授，培育了大批的音乐人才。
