自己》是常石磊首张个人原创专辑，其中收录了11首由词人王平久作词，常石磊作曲、编曲并制作的歌曲，两种艺术气息交相融合创作出这一张不可多得、独具魔力的优秀音乐专辑

《自己》算是常石磊给自己的一份音乐历程记录，其中既有爵士也有民族风，有北京奥运一周年纪念曲《恍然如梦》和奥运两周年纪念曲《相随永远》这种抒发家国情怀的命题作文，也有《我不懂爱情》和《常常》等纯流行的情歌。它来自于常石磊从奥运一路走来的音乐心路，更来自常石磊对于音乐极高的领悟能力和创造性，抛去商业音乐的浮躁，真正以“自己”的角度去演绎音乐，演绎爱，演绎感动
