这张专辑是吉他演奏家卡洛斯·蒙托亚1958年11月录制的，音效极为惊人，是著名的吉他录音靓声之王。

卡洛斯·蒙托亚（Carlos Montoya，1903年12月13日-1993年3月3日）世界闻名的弗拉门戈吉他演奏家。他的叔叔是西班牙著名的弗拉门戈吉他演奏家拉蒙·蒙托亚（Ramon Montoya）。卡洛斯·蒙托亚从很小的时候就对音乐和吉他产生了兴趣，开始的时候是和他的母亲以及邻居的一个理发师学习吉他演奏。后来，他不但学习吉他的演奏，同时还学习弗拉门戈音乐的历史。从14岁起，卡洛斯·蒙托亚开始了自己的职业演奏生涯，起先是在马德里的咖啡馆里为演唱和舞蹈进行伴奏。当时有两位与他合作最多的舞蹈家，分别是La Teresina和La Argentina。另外许多弗拉门戈领域的传奇性人物也都与卡洛斯·蒙托亚大师有过合作关系，例如Carmen Amaya、Pilar Lopes等。为了拓宽自己的音乐风格，卡洛斯·蒙托亚在20世纪的20年代和30年代开始了他的旅行生涯。他的足迹遍及欧洲、亚洲、北美，沿途与La Argentina合作进行演出活动。这使得他成为了世界闻名的弗拉门戈吉他演奏家。

第二次世界大战爆发时，卡洛斯·蒙托亚正与La Argentina一起在美国旅行演出的途中，于是他决定在美国定居，并且后来获得了美国国籍。1945年，La Argentina去世，卡洛斯·蒙托亚独自发展自己的事业。这时他不仅仅演奏弗拉门戈音乐，同时还涉猎布鲁斯、爵士和乡村音乐等。1948年起，卡洛斯·蒙托亚开始与交响乐队合作，他成为了第一个与交响乐队合作演出的弗拉门戈吉他演奏家。同时他还继续从事自己的独奏演出，并且频繁地出现在电台和电视台上。卡洛斯·蒙托亚大师共录制了超过40张唱片，其中包括独奏的和与乐队合作的。

卡洛斯·蒙托亚大师的弗拉门戈音乐在一些严肃的弗拉门戈爱好者眼中并不是很受重视。但是无论如何，很少有哪位吉他演奏家能够象他一样，让全世界的人都来关注弗拉门戈音乐，这是一个事实。

弗拉门戈是由歌、舞、及吉他演奏组成一体的一种独特艺术。最初的弗拉门戈音乐，多以歌唱为主，吉他主要是伴奏，而很少用来独奏。后来经弗拉门戈大师拉蒙·蒙托亚的大胆改革，将古典吉他与弗拉门戈音乐技巧相结合，充实并发展了吉它的表现力，最终形成了具有独特风格的弗拉门戈吉他。
