这张双CD专辑是塞戈维亚演奏巴赫的作品，包含他在1927年至1955年期间录制的巴赫音乐。

塞戈维亚是最早将巴洛克音乐改编为吉他作品的大师，而他演绎的巴洛克音乐更充满了浪漫主义风格。有些心胸不够宽广的人认为塞戈维亚的巴赫是对巴赫的一种亵渎。戈兰·索舍尔手下理性的巴赫固然给人无限的思考，塞戈维亚的浪漫巴赫无疑更带给人们激情与幻想！太多的演奏巴洛克音乐的吉他手给人以平淡甚至迂腐沉闷的感觉，塞戈维亚用吉他诠释的巴赫作品绝对是独一无二的，那些攻击塞戈维亚浪漫巴赫的人们充其量不过是一些缺乏创意、深陷思维定式的可怜虫而已。

塞戈维亚的巴赫给人以一种“非此不可”的意味，似乎他的节奏是唯一可能的选择。塞戈维亚演奏中体现的贵族气质和皇家风范至今无人能及。
