门德尔松的“仲夏夜之梦”历来是很受欢迎的一部乐队作品。“仲夏夜之梦”是莎士比亚创作的一部戏剧，内容奇幻而浪漫，对音乐爱好者来说，门德尔松为这部戏剧所写的配乐，也许比戏剧本身更为引人，从问世到现在，一直被广大乐迷所热爱。其中一段“婚礼进行曲”更是成为家喻户晓的乐段，被大家普遍在婚礼上播放。

第一个优秀版本如图。资深乐迷一看到那个LONDON标就知道，这是一个非常珍贵而罕见的唱片版本。原始录音是瑞士指挥家Peter Maag指挥伦敦交响乐队录制的，是DECCA的录音，但这里的CD是由美国Classic Records公司重新制作发行的，采用了24K镀金的工艺，音质更胜出DECCA原版。在2手市场上目前这张CD价格至少上千了，而且有钱也难买到。
