演出经验超过50年的钢琴家史蒂夫·库恩（Steve
Kuhn）一向保持着绅士文雅的隐者形象，以欧陆古典主义为基底，带出极为悲情幽鸣的出色旋律线，辅以优雅流畅的弦乐之音、低调木讷的贝斯基石，令人醉心的净透琴音、漂亮的旋律，峰回路转，每一首曲子似在诉说着一个传奇，一桩生命经验或是情绪。而那些故事的细节，在史蒂夫·库恩微妙的钢琴和弦变化之间，作了明确的交代。史蒂夫·库恩的钢琴是水质的，纯净了整幅音乐画面。它将旋律的流动缓慢而细腻地呈现，轻巧地贯穿了音乐内容的复杂结构；查尔士·麦克佛森（Charles
McPherson）则吸收了更多自己的生活经验，融会贯通在他的音乐里，有更多的“Blues And
Bop”格调。查尔士·麦克佛森是著名的帕克传人，克林·伊斯威特的传记电影《菜鸟帕克》中，就有许多片段是由Charles在幕后吹奏出极为类似帕克的音色。之后他又与Charles
Mingus合作，可说是BeBop乐风中的重要角色。
