老易在制作LPCD45母带前，特地到市面上搜罗各种最好的版本，包括四百多元的91年日本版。务必超越他们才能对环球交代。这批经典名盘大家都非常熟习，任何区别辨认都不存在问题。邓的录音年份跨越较久，有部分歌曲母带确实老化（如“风从那里来”），但绝大部分那时代的录音都用Studer的多轨开盘机录制和Studer的两轨机混音合成，老易特别注意这种Studer声底，环球交来的DAT母带也只有通过Studer DAT机（棚里4台DAT都是实验过）才能发出这种中高音特别圆滑的韵味。
