以前去驼梁都是去的驼梁南口，位于平山县前大地村，这次绕道驼梁北口，位于山西五台县老保沟村露营，没有进入景区大门。北口开发不如南口成熟，所以来这里的人非常少。

过五岳寨和驼梁南口到山西境内的长原线公路，再沿长原线到五县线狐峪口村，走一条乡级小路到老保沟村，这条小路正在维修阔宽，将成为一条景观路。
