Step3: Presentation and practice
1. Talk about six months.

1) Talk about January and February.
T : Sarah likes winter best. Because she can have a winter vacation. So When is the winter vacation?
T: Yes, it’s in January or February.

2) Talk about March.
T: Look, what are they doing?(

Ss: They are ........
T: Yes, they are planting trees. When is Tree Planting Day?
T: Yes, It’s in March.

3) Talk about April.
T: Look, what holiday is it? (
出示复活节活动图片)
Ss: It’s Easter .
T: Yes. Let’s get some information about Easter.
T: Is it funny? When is the Easter?
Ss: It’s in .......
T: Yes, it’s in April.
4) Talk about May and June.
通过父亲节和母亲节来引出单词MayJune.

2. Game:

a. Flash cards
b. Read it correctly
c. Read it quickly (Whac-A-Mole)
3. Learn the short forms of these six months, then listen to the flash (A let’s learn).
4. Learn several new activities: sports meet, singing contest ,school trip.

Step 4: Consolidation and Extension
1. Ask and answer: When is the ________? It’s in _________.
2. Do the “Read and say” part.

Step 5: Summary
1. Review the words.
2. Sing the song of unit3 (The twelve months)

Step6 . Homework

1. Read and spell the six months.
2. Talk about the months of different activities with the classmates.
