张大千 松荫高士

高士题材古已有之，常常作为山水画中的点景人物，而在大千笔下，高士往往成为山水画的主角，因而在张大千的人物画中，高士成为一个独立的画题。

张大千将高逸之士以概念化的形象置于山水林泉之间，象征士大夫归隐后的生活，同时抒发希冀纵情于物外的情致。

芭蕉高士类的画是张大千发挥才华的重心所在，他从勾摹古人名迹入手，由学石涛，八大山人，徐渭而登堂入室，尤其不遗余力地追摹石涛和徐谓。与此同时，他吸取石溪，渐江，明四家及董其昌的长处，融为一体，在水墨人物和花鸟方面奠定了根底。

此幅蕉荫高士作于1941年12月，这一年大千正赴敦煌，除壁画临摹以外的画作很少，此画即作于这个时期，殊为可贵。画面构图上松下紧，近处山坡平缓，一个高士缓步前行，芭蕉叶用笔墨简括，开张有势，浓淡变化丰富，并以浓墨勾蕉脉，富有层次感。
