Unit 7 I Have a Headache. (The 1st period）

Ⅰ. Teaching Content

本单元的主要话题是健康。重点学习I feel very bad today. What’s wrong with you/him? I have/He has a... You’d better take him to see a doctor.以及祈使句等句型结构。谈论引起人们身体不适的几种常见疾病以及生病后的一些基本建议，其内容与学生生活紧密相联。本节课的授课内容是Let’s learn的部分词汇以及Let’s talk.部分。

(1) The students will be able to master the following new words: have a cold, have a fever, have a cough and have a headache.

(2) The students will be able to understand and use the key sentence structures: What’s wrong with you? I have a….

Step 1Warming up and Leading in

     Use a song with the rhythm of “Two Little Tigers” to get to know the students and also to start the new lesson.

【设计意图：用一首熟悉的歌曲与学生互动，拉近师生之间的距离。创造轻松学习氛围的同时为新课的导入做铺垫。】

Step 2 Presentation and Practice

1. The teacher creates a situation of Birdie and his friends to present the new vocabulary while using simple drawing to make the students understand the vocabulary easily.

  2. Use the same situation to present the main sentence structure: What’s wrong with you?—I have a____. Birdie flies to the window of his friend Peter. Peter looks ill. And they are talking with each other.

  Birdie: Hello. How are you?

  Peter: I feel bad.

  Birdie: What’s wrong with you?

  Peter: I have a cold.

【设计意图：教师创设情境，让学生在真实的情境中，感知新知。同时利用形象生动的简笔画，很好的帮助学生理解新知。】

 3. Birdie flies to Colin’s window. Look at the picture on Page 55 and tell us: What can you see in the picture?

 4. Listen to the dialogue and answer two simple questions. (listen the first time)

  Q1: How does Colin feel today?

  Q2: Does he have a fever?

 5. Listen, look and answer (listen the second time / read the first time)

  Q1: What will his mother do?

6. Listen, look and repeat. (listen the third time / read the second time)

7. Role-play the dialogue.

【设计意图：通过“三听”标准的语音语调，培养学生准确的语音语调。用问题引导学生有目的地听，降低了学习难度，让学生抓住对话关键信息的同时，培养了学生听的能力。通过角色扮演，让学生再次理解文本，内化语言知识，发展学生综合运用语言的能力。】

Step 3 Consolidation and Expansion

1. Birdie flies to Sam’s window. Sam looks unhappy. He is talking with his mother. What are they talking about? Let the students discuss with their partner and show their dialogue.

2. Let the students help Sam to see a doctor and give some suggestions to Sam.

【设计意图：让学生改编对话，检测学生的学习效果。让学生带着Sam去看医生，给Sam一些建议，培养孩子们互相帮助和重视身体健康的意识。】

Step 4 Summary

      Use a song with the rhythm of “Two Little Tigers” to summarize.

【设计意图：用熟悉的歌曲，首尾呼应的同时让学生在轻松的氛围中总结本节课的知识点。】

Step 5 Homework

1. Oral Homework: Read the passage on Page 55.

2. Written Homework: Revise the dialogue with the learnt words (have a fever, have a cold, have a cough)
