1). Students can read and understand the new words (rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny).

2). Students can use the sentence pattern skillfully (What’s the weather like in …?  It’s …).

2.  Ability objectives

1). Students can memorize and use the vocabulary correctly.

2). Students can use the sentence pattern skillfully (What’s the weather like in …?  It’s …).

1. The new words: rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny

2. Sentence pattern: What’s the weather like (in ~)？

Difficult points:

1.       How to use the new words and pattern.

2.       The pronounce of the new words.

Ⅴ. Teaching procedure

Step1. Greeting

        Greet to students.

Step2. Lead in  （3 minutes）

        Review the words : cool, cold, warm, hot

Step 3.Preparation    (20 minutes)

1.       New words: rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny

2.       Lead students to understand the new words.

3.       Use the new words to make sentence.

   Step 4. Practice  (10 minutes)

1.       连线：天气图片—单词

2.       Game: Guessing the word from the picture.

3.       Pair work

S1: What’s the weather like in…?

S2: It’s … in … .

Step5. Production   (4 minutes)

        操练Let’s play 部分。

Step 6. Summary   （2  minutes）

PPT shows the five words (rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny) and the sentence pattern.

Step 7. Homework    （1 minute）

1.       Copy the new words.(两行四遍)
