1.2 Write a postcard how to introduce the weather of one place to others.

How to write a postcard .

Teaching aids: ppt ,multimedia, cards, blackboard, chalk.

Teaching objectives

I. Knowledge objectives:

a. students can know how to do the reading task.

b. Students can know how to write a postcard.

II. Ability objectives:

a. Train students’ ability about how to do the reading exercises.

b. Let the students know the postcard patterns.

Teaching procedure

Step1:Pre-reading

1.1 sing the weather song.

1.2 Review the sentence pattern “Is it……in……？” “Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t” “It is ……in ……”

Step2：Whi-reading

2.1 listen to the tape and finish the question:

where’s John?

Where’s John’s father?

2.2listen and circle :read the postcard and circle the key words of the postcard.

2.3 read and write : read again and underline the key sentences.

Step3:Post-reading

3.1 read and answer:

1.what’s the weather like in Sydney?

2. Is the weather cold in Sydney?

3.Can John’s dad swim outside?

3.2 fill in the blanks: ask the student finish the blanks.

3.3 your travel: ask the students write a postcard with tips of the ppt

Homework:

1. read the passage ;

finish the postcard.
