2.     Teaching contents/ material

Material: Part A Let’s talk in Unit2 My family

Contents:(1)New words: man ,father, friend

(2)Sentences: who’s that … He’s /she’s ….

3.     Teaching aims

Knowledge aims:

a. To hear, speak and read the new words: man ,father, friend

b. To understand the sentences: who’s that… She’s / he’s …

Skill aims:

The students can be able to ask others’ questions and introduce their family to their friends or introduce their friends to their parents in English in the actual situation.

Moral aims:

a.Students through the combination of the actual life and the real situation to stimulate their learning interest and enthusiasm, and develop students’ habit to express themselves in English consciously.

b.Students can show their love to their parents in English.

Important point:

To be able to use the sentences

-Who’s that man/ woman?      

-He’s/ She’s ….

 

Difficult point:

 to use the correct object (he or she) to answer the question: who’s that….

Step 1 Starter (lead in)(Greeting +warm-up /revision)                     (3 minutes)

1.1Greeting:

T:Good morning, boys and girls! How are you today?

 Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you?

T: I’m fine, too. Thank you.

1.2Warm-up

Let’s chant:

 To review what Ss learned last lesson and pave the way for the following sentences.

Step2 Before-listening (7 minutes)

2.1 To show a picture “Daxiong” to the Ss.

a. To ask Ss who’s that man? and then show Ss a picture about Daxiong’s father and ask Ss who’s that man?(the same way to show Daxiong’s mother and his friends.)

b. To tell Ss that we know something about Daxiong now, and I want to know something about you.

c. To ask one of the student who’s his friend, after that I will ask the whole class who’s that boy?

Step 3 While-listening (Teacher—Student)  (8 minutes)

3.1 to understand the dialogue

a. to guess what they will hear from the picture.

b. listen to the tape and tick the answer.

 

 Step 4 After-listening(Student---Student) (10 minutes)

4.1 to ask Ss to read the dialogue together once and then read them by themselves. Next, let them to role-play with their classmates.

 4.2 (So image if you bring your friend to your home, what will happen and what will you talk. Please talk with your partners. Then I will invite some students to show to us.)

a. to let several Ss to show their dialogue

 4.3 (Actually the family means “Father and mother, I love you.” So please love your parents. We are so busy growing up. We often forget they are also growing old.)

Step 5 Summary and Homework       (2 minutes)

5.1 Summary

a. To ask Ss recall what they learned this lesson.

b. To show Ss today’s new words and sentences and let them read after the teacher

5.2 Homework

a. Introduce your friend to your classmates in English.

b.Show your love to your parents: for example say “I love you”to them.
