澳大利亚北领地总面积1,347,000平方公里，2011年人口统计的数据为211,940人。农业用地面积671,700平方公里，占50%；自然保护区的面积占49%。最主要的土地利用类型为天然放牧，占50%。农业、林业及渔业就业人数为1,500，占就业人口的1%。

1 农业产业
1.1 北领地重要的农产品及产值
2012-2013年，北领地的农业总产值为4.79亿澳元，占整个澳大利亚农业总产值480亿澳元的1%。北领地最重要的农产品是肉牛。2012-2013年，肉牛的产值为3.2亿澳元，达到整个北领地农业产值的67%。其他重要的农产品依次为瓜类0.49亿澳元（10%）和芒果0.48亿（10%）。
各农产品的产值自上至下依次为：肉牛及小牛；瓜果；芒果；其他牲畜；干草；其他。

1.2 北领地农场的数量及分布
2012-2013年，北领地共有463个运营收入超过5,000澳元的农场，占整个澳大利亚农场总数的1%。下表列出了北领地各种农场的数量及全澳的数量。

农场规模方面，运营收入不足50,000澳元的小型农场数量占北领地农场总数的24%，运营收入超过350,000澳元的大农场数量占41%，而产值占北领地总产值的92%。

2012-2013年，北领地人工林木种植面积为43,500公顷，其中硬木种植面积为41,100公顷，软木2,400公顷。主要的硬木树种是马占相思和非洲楝，集中种植于Melville、Tiwi岛及北领地大陆北部。2011年，北领地约有1,520万公顷的天然林场，主要由各种桉树组成，其中约63%为私人拥有，其余为政府租赁地或自然保护区和森林公园。北领地无大型伐木厂。2010-2011年，北领地林木业销售及服务总产值为6,900万澳元，木料和纸张的产值分别为4,500万及2,400万澳元。同时期没有出口记录。

2012-2013年，北领地渔业的总产值约为5,800万澳元，占全澳的2%，其中天然捕捞产值为3,400万澳元，水产养殖2,400万澳元。捕捞的海产品主要有达尔文泥蟹（19%）、鲷鱼（15%）、鲭鱼（12%）及盲曹鱼（11%）。渔产品几乎都用于本国消费，出口额不到2%。
有一份调查显示，超过9成的澳洲土著居民有每年出海捕鱼的习惯，他们的渔获包括淡水虾、咸水虾、生蚝、贻贝、鲂鱼、盲曹鱼、猫鱼、热带鲷鱼、鲻鱼及岩龙虾。
