形容词比较级句型

1 '...than...'句型

He is taller than I. (口语中常作：He is taller than me.) 他比我高。

I think maths is more important than Chinese. 

I think maths is less important than Chinese.

²  降级句型

I am even less lucky. 我甚至更不走运。

This is the least useful of the four books.四本书中这一本最无用处。

Would you mind speaking less quickly? 你可否讲得慢一点?

The movie was less funny than the book. 电影没有书那么滑稽有趣。

This is the least useful of the four books. 这是四本书中最没用的一本。

It is said that those who eat the most are the least healthy. 据说吃得最多的人身体最差。

He listens to the teacher less carefully than Tom.（不如，小于）

²  “no + 比较级 + than” 与 “not + 比较级 + than”

表示对两者的否定，意为“和……一样不……”，与neither…nor…或“as+相反意义的形容词或副词+as”相当。
Tom is no taller than Mike.

=Neither Tom nor Mike is tall.

=Tom is as short as Mike.汤姆和迈克都不高(或一样矮)。

  比较：“not+比较级前+than”表示前者不如后者。

Tom is not taller than Mike.汤姆不比迈克高。  

He is not taller than me. 他不如我高。

He is no taller than me. 他同我一样不高。(即一样矮)

His English is not better than mine. 他的英语不如我的英语好。

His English is no better than mine. 他的英语同我的英语一样不好。(即一样差)

You are not more careful than he is. 你不如他仔细。

You are no more careful than he is. 你和他一样不仔细。(即一样粗心)

²  要避免重复使用比较等级。

[误]He is more better than before.

[正]He is much better than before.

[正]He is better than before.

²  在修饰或代替复数可数名词的more前不可用much，而要用many。

I’ve made many more mistakes than you have.我出的错比你多得多。

²  数词+名词+比较级 +than  比较时确定的度量

He is two inches taller than his father.

He is two heads taller than I. 他比我高出两个头。 

  She could not take a step further. 她一步也不能走了。

China is one-sixth larger than the United States.中国比美国大六分之一。

Their house is about three times bigger than ours.他们的房子大约有我们房子三倍大。

He is three years older than his brother.他比他兄弟大三岁。

  He is two years younger than me. 他比我小两岁。

He is a head taller than his younger sister. 他比他妹妹高一头。

This bridge is 10 meters longer than that one. 这桥比那桥长10米。

This bridge is longer than that one by 10 meters. 这桥比那桥长10米。

²  比较级结构中，一定要将自己本身排除（不能与自己比较）

Jack is taller than any other boy in our class. 

  Jack is taller than the other boys in our class.

  Jack is taller than anybody else in our class.

  Jack is taller than all the girls in our class.

  Jack is taller than anyone in our class. = Jack is the tallest in our class.

  Shanghai is bigger than any other city in China. 上海比中国其他的城市大.
  Shanghai is bigger than any city in Heilongjiang. 上海比黑龙江的任何城市都大.

  Jack studies harder than anyone else in his class.

  Jack studies harder than any other student in his class.

  Jack studies harder than all the others in his class.

  Jack studies harder than any of the other students in his class.

  Mike is more intelligent than any other student in his class.

  Robert jumps much higher than any of the others.

  [误]China is larger than any country in Asia.

[正]China is larger than any other country in Asia.

²  比较级前加much, even, a little, a lot, still, by far, far, a bit, no, any等表程度副词，表示超出的程度。

  用a bit, a little, rather, some(肯定句及请求或建议的问句中), any(否定句或疑问句中)表示“稍稍，一点”；

Can you move a little farther? 你可以站稍远一点吗？

Do you feel any better today? 你今天觉得好一点了吗？

He looks a bit happier now. 他现在显得高兴点儿了。

Do you feel any better today? 你今天感觉好点儿了吗?

This table is a little smaller than that one. 稍微小一点

Your cake is a little larger than mine. 你的蛋糕比我的大一点儿。

—Have you any more? 你还有吗? —Oh, sorry, no more. 哦，对不起，没有了。

We will come back a little later. 我们会稍迟一点回来.
We were too tired to walk any farther. 我们太疲劳了不能再走很远了.

用much, far, a great/good deal, a lot, lots, a good bit等表示“……得多”；

Let’s go by car. It’s much cheaper. 咱们开车去。这样便宜得多。

The sun is much bigger than the earth. 

  We have a much better life now. 我们现在的日子好得多了。

The buildings look far uglier in London than here.伦敦的建筑比这儿的难看得多。

I made a lot more mistakes than you (did). 我犯的错误比你多多了。

I am much better than I was yesterday. 我比昨天好多了.

There are far more people than we expected. 人比我们预计的多得多。

用still(只用于肯定句), even, yet等表示“更加”。

 It is even colder than yesterday. 今天比昨天还冷。

I am even less lucky. 我甚至更不走运。

It’s even warmer today than yesterday. 暖和多了

This story is even more interesting than that one. 这个故事比那个更有趣。

He is fat, but his brother is still fatter. 他很胖，但他哥哥更胖。

It's still colder today. 今天更冷一些。

用no加强否定的语气。

She's no better yet. 她一点也没好转。
He was no longer a child. 他不再是一个小孩子.

在作定语的比较级形容词前一般只用far或much。

That was a much/far easier job. 这是件容易得多的工作。

注：除 quite better 外，quite, very, so 等不可修饰比较级。

²  比较内容要相呼应，相比内容必须相同，可用one,that,those,do代替

The price of meat is higher thant that of rice.

  The population in Shanghai is larger than that in Beijing.

  Her voice is as sweet as that of a bird.

[误]Your computer is more expensive than Tom.

[正]Your computer is more expensive than Tom’s.
