五、现在分词短语表原因 (一般位于句首)

  分词短语可作状语表示原因,分词的逻辑主语是句子的主语。

Knowing English well, he translated the article without difficulty.

Having lived here for years, he knows almost everything about it.

  Not knowing her address, we could not get touch with her. 由于不知道她的地址,我们无法和她联系.

Many of us, being so excited, could not go to sleep that night. 我们很多人是那样激动,那天晚上都没有睡着.

六、过去分词短语表原因

作原因状语时，过去分词一般置于句首，偶尔置于句尾或句中。

  Grown senile, King Lear scoffed at the foresight of his advisors. 由于年老昏聩，李尔王对顾问的预见嗤之以鼻。
