你大伯转给我看了你写的中、英文简历,一位聪慧靓丽、时尚前卫、极具艺术品位的知识女性跃然纸上,恰像你正在画一幅关于自己的“文字图画”,令人留下十分美好的印象。我不知道你这份简历是打算投向国外还是国内,据你大伯说可以内外通用。而我认为由于社会体制、文化背景、价值观念等方面的差异,你打算投出的简历应该内外有别。在此,我想就投向国外的英文简历谈谈我的看法。

Nancy Brooks, a fourth grade teacher at Oak Road Elementary, has informed me that you have an opening for a second grade teacher for the school year that begins next September. I may be early in applying for the position but I believe that I have a lot to offer to you and to your students.
I have enclosed my resume, which will present you with my background. What the resume cannot express is my enthusiasm for teaching children. Although I have only recently graduated from college, I have far more experience than most recent graduates. As you will see on my resume, I have taught third grade full-time, have substituted in every grade from kindergarten through sixth, and have volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide for a year and a half. I am effective as a classroom teacher, tireless with children, and I can communicate well with fellow teachers and with parents. I would like to have the opportunity to meet with you at your convenience. Although next fall seems like a long time from now, Nancy told me that you are hoping to fill the position by the end of February. I hope that I will hear from you by February 1.
