Teaching aims:

New words: Tillie, Alice Party, present, birthday, cake, magic, surprise, today

New pattern: How old is she? Shes six years old.   Here is.

 

Teaching aids: VCD, PowerPoint

 

Teaching procedure:

I.                   Watch the VCD and have them repeat with it.

II.                Practice more.

(slide 1) Whats this? Whats her name? Is she happy? Why is she happy.Today is her birthday.

       Lets sing a birthday song to Tillie!

How old is she?

(slide 2-3) How old is he? How old is she? How old are they?

       How old are you?

       Is today your birthday?

(slide 4) Today is her birthday. So here is a birthday party for her.

(slide 6) Here are some flowers.

(slide 7) Here is a birthday cake.

       Is the cake for you? No, its not for you. Its for Tillie.

      Slide 1: Who is he? He is Captain Hook. Where is he? He is in the crocodile.

      Slide 2: What is it? Its a clock. Where is the clock? Its in Donald.

      Slide 3: Look at the clock. What time is it? Its 7 oclock. Its breakfast time. Its time to have breakfast.

      Slide 4: What time is it? Its 8 oclock. Its school time. Its time to go to school.

      Slide 5: What time is it? Its 11 oclock. Its lunch time. Its time to have lunch.

      Slide 6: What time is it? Its 4 oclock. Its play time. Its time to play.

      Slide 7: What time is it? Its 5 oclock. Its dinner time. Its time to have dinner.

      Slide 8: What time is it? Its 9 oclock. Its bed time. Its time to go to bed.

      Slide 9: What time is it? Its 12 oclock. Its midnight.

      Slide 10: Let students make a dialogue: What time is it? Itsoclock. Is ittime? Yes, its time to do
