一、教材分析

本课是第四单元第四课时内容，本单元围绕圣诞节这一西方节日展开，圣诞节在西方国家就如同春节对我们中国人一样重要，加拿大的孩子们十分喜欢过圣诞节，为了过圣诞节孩子们都会精心准备，本单元李明就带着我们一起参与了圣诞节的准备过程，装扮圣诞树，写圣诞贺卡，本课将重点学习准备圣诞节的又一环节----准备圣诞礼物。

二、教学目标

知识与技能

    1. 能正确听说读写词汇Santa，Christmas，gift，special。

2. 能熟练地运用句型进行问答练习

What would you like for Christmas？---I would like ….

3. 巩固学习将来进行时态的结构 be going to ….

情感态度

1. 通过学习圣诞节的有关内容，使学生感受到中西方的文化差异，对西方的节日有一定的了解

2. 通过学习圣诞节赠送礼物的习俗，培养学生关爱家人的情感

3. 通过准备圣诞节的活动，培养学生喜爱英语并能主动运用英语进行交流的态度

学习策略

1. 通过小组活动，养成学生运用英语交流的习惯

2. 小组合作表演，培养学生的合作意识

三、教学重难点

    教学重点： 学生能了解西方圣诞节要互送礼物的习俗，能根据实际情况运用英语进行问答，“What would you like for Christmas? ---I would like ….

    教学难点：能够运用所学知识在实际生活中向他人询问圣诞节向想要什么，能就想、圣诞节的话题与他人交流

 

四、教学过程

Step ⅠWarming up   

1. Greetings

T: Hello, everyone!

Ss: Hello, Ms Meng!

T: What day is today?

Ss: It is …

T: Are you happy today?

Ss: Yes.

T: Let’s sing a happy song together!

2. Sing a song together “We wish you a Merry Christmas!”

【设计意图：通过课前齐唱英文歌曲，自然的将学生带入英语的学习氛围，同时渲染圣诞节日的气氛，为学习本文圣诞礼物做铺垫。】

 

Step Ⅱ Presentation

1.Learn “What do you want to buy? I want to buy____ for_____.”

T: When is Christmas?

Ss: It is Dec. 25^th.

T: Yes. Today is…. Christmas is coming. What do people do on Christmas?

Ss: People don’t work. Children don’t go to school. People invite their family and friends to the house. People give gifts to their family and friends.

T: Yes. On Christmas, we give our family and friends gifts. Look! I have a gift. It is from my husband. Can you guess what is it?

【设计意图：教师与学生进行简单对话，询问有关圣诞节内容，通过自己收到礼物的形式，引出本课主题“Christmas Gifts”。】

  T: Do you like gifts?

  Ss: Yes.

  T: Today I buy some gifts for you.

(Write “buy____ for_____ on the blackboard.”

  Then hand out the gifts for everyone that the teacher prepared before.)

  T: Christmas is coming. I want to buy a scarf for my mother. What do you want to buy?

  Ss: I want to buy ____ for_____.（Write on the blackboard.）

【设计意图：每个学生获得小礼物，使每个学生真切的感受到节日的气氛。利用教师自己想要送给妈妈礼物的情形,既能引出本课重点句型“What do you want to buy?”，同时又能培养学生关爱父母的情怀。】

2. Learn “special”

  T: You are good children. We all love our father and mother, so we want to buy some gifts for them. Now let’s have a look what are your gifts.

(The students open their gifts, and then show them to the others in order to lead out the word “special”, because there are some bombs.)

  T: Look, these are some special gifts.

(Read the word “special”, spell and read several times.)

【设计意图：学生亲自感受到一个特别的礼物，加深印象。】

3. Learn “What would you like for Christmas? --- I would like ________”

  T: Santa has many special gifts. Do you want some special gifts?

  Ss: Yes.

  T: Let’s go to the shop.

 (Show the picture of a shop and Santa. The teacher acts Santa.)

What would you like for Christmas?

  S1: I would like _______.

 (Ask some students the same question. At the same time give someone another gift that is a bomb.)

【设计意图：为学生创造真实的购物场景，使学生更能真切的感受到运用英语的实际环境。加深理解”special”。】

Step Ⅲ Practice

1. Ask and answer in pairs

(The students make up a dialogue in groups, and practice several minutes. Then choose some pairs to show their dialogues.)

2. Listen to the tape and answer the questions in part 2. Then show their answers.

3. Read the text following the tape sentence by sentence.

五、教学反思

    本课讲授的是准备圣诞礼物的过程，所以我在设计本课的教学过程时采用了真实情景教学法，通过自己收到礼物的情景引发学生想要礼物或者想送礼物的愿望，从而学习本课重点句型，这一举动很有效地调动了学生的热情以及参与活动的积极性，同时也在真实的情景中锻炼了学生的口语交际能力。学生高涨的学习热情有效的调动了课堂气氛，但是回归文本的环节留给孩子的时间偏少，所以学生回答的问题准确性不是很高，如果能在时间的安排上在做一些调整，会让孩子对课本的理解更加透彻。
