教学过程整体设计及实施过程

Class Opening

Warming Up:

1.      Greeting. Good moring, class! How are you today? Do you feel cold today? Please wear warm clothes to prevent from having a cold.

2.      Let’s begin our class with a word-game named “Bomb”. (In this game, the teacher sets a new word “poison” as a bomb. Then students read all the new words after the teacher except “poison”. If someone reads the “bomb” word, he will be punished by making a face.)

Leading In:

1.      Watch a short video about kithen fires.

2.      Think about: Do you think home is a safe place?

Preview:

Show students eight key phrases in this unit and check them one by one.

1.五把刀子  _____________          5. hurt themselves _______________

Key Concepts

Step 1: Listening Task

Instruct students to listen to the first part of text, and fill in the blanks with the correct words.

2.      Many accidents happen because people are ____________.

Step 2: Reading Task

1.      Read the passage together and give some warnings to describe the pictures with the imperatives from text.

   For example: Don’t stand on chairs./ Be careful with knives./ Don’t use water to put out the kitchen fires./ Don’t keep poisons in the kitchen./ Never use electricity in the shower./ Never leave small children alone in a bathtub.

2.      Read the passage independently and complete the table in “Let’s Do It! No. 1”

Step 3: Group Work

Divide the class into groups and instruct every group to talk about the dangerous accidents may happen in the kitchen. According to the pictures that have given, speak out the warnings with the focus structures: Please ___________. / Don’t ____________./ Please be careful with______./ Never ____________.

Step 4: Language Points

List two key sentences and Instruct students to find out the key phrases from them.

1. hurt oneself “伤害某人自己”;

by “通过”+ 动名词

  fall off “(从…)掉下”= fall down from

拓展:enjoy oneself  help oneself to… teach oneself = learn…by oneself    dress oneself

2. put out “扑灭”

  火警尽力去灭火。 The firemen tried _________ the fire.

instead  “代替”用于句首或句末。

   instead of  “代替,而不是”+ 名词/介词/动名词

Step 5: Check Yourselves

Students do the choices independently, and then check the answers.

Class Closing

Summary:

We should pay more attention to the safety of home,  keep the safety rules in our mind, and obey them.

If someone tries doing some dangerous things, we can use imperatives to give him warnings.

Homework:

1. Memorize the new words and phrases for the C-grade students.

2. Compete the exercise of “Let’s Do It!” for the B-grade students.

3. Make a poster about safety rules in our school for the A-grade students.
