       大家好，我是单词彭Peter。今天给大家分享一本我的枕边书，也是我翻得最多、学得最扎实、背得最熟的书本之一（有着3年全脑教学的经历，我当时熟背了5本书），它就是《汉英对照汪国真诗选》。作者是汪国真，译者是我的老师、清华大学外语系蒋隆国教授。

汪国真老师（1956年6月22日——2015年4月26日），据北京零点调查公司1997年7月对“人们所欣赏的当代中国诗人”调查表明，在新中国成立后出生的诗人中，他名列第一。他的诗集发行量创有新诗以来诗集发行量之最。多篇诗歌和散文被收录到中小学教材中（如《旅程》、《雨的随想》、《热爱生命》等）。2009年10月被《中国青年》杂志评为建国60周年十名代表人物之一。汪国真老师的诗歌，在70-90年代是非常流行，很多年轻人都很喜欢。

       蒋隆国教授生于湖南浏阳，本科求学于中山大学，硕士就读于北京外国语大学，师从著名的英语专家许国璋老师，北外毕业后一直任教于清华大学。在清华教授口语成绩突出，曾获得清华大学优秀教学成果奖。他先后编写了50多本英语教材。蒋教授不仅英语非常好，他从小喜欢诗歌，包括古诗和现代诗，他经常能引经据典，脱口而出一些名句。另外，他自己还写诗，他先写在纸上，随后我们帮他打在电脑里，先后写了100首现代诗，随后他又把它们翻译成英文。一直乐此不疲，他在诗歌的世界里，找到了快乐，找到了力量。

       蒋教授也非常喜欢汪国真老师的诗歌，他精选了80首诗歌，经汪国真老师授权后，就启动了他的翻译工作。我很荣幸，参与了整个过程，期间，还和汪国真老师通了一次电话。 蒋教授夜以继日地翻译，半年左右时间，他就完成了这个工作。翻译得非常好，得到了业内人士的一致好评，最终在2013年6月出版。

        对于这本书，我爱不释手。我第一次感受到一本书能给人带来如此大的力量。诗歌里对生命的热爱，对未来的向往，对亲情、友情、爱情、师生情的歌颂，一直深深地影响着我。

       对于全书的翻译，我也甚是敬佩。我往往会先自己翻译一遍，然后对比一下，进而能明显感受到蒋教授的翻译功底之高深，理解之透彻。
        鉴于这两个原因，我萌生了一个有挑战的想法：我要把本书背诵下来。于是每天早上6:30开始，和陈昌、李蕾、张伟等好友一起，在清华荷塘晨读，坚持3个月的时间，把这本书中文和英文全部背诵完毕（2014年）。
       今天，我分享一些经典的句子：
 （1）I don’t want to consider, if I’ll be able to succeed, since I’ve decided to go to a distant place, I’ll try my best to make the trip. 我不去想是否能够成功，既然选择了远方，便只顾风雨兼程。
（2）No roads are longer than the feet, no mountains are higher than human beings. 没有比脚更长的路，没有比人更高的山。
（3）Though the sun sets, the mountains and rivers will exist for ever. That’s a nation with its back straightened, and its blood flowing.　太阳落，山河不落，那是一个民族脊梁挺立着，血液奔流着。
（4）A man can’t necessarily make himself a great man, but he is sure to be able to make himself a noble man.  人，不一定使自己伟大，但一定可以使自己崇高。
（5）Adversity is not necessarily agony, smoothness is not necessarily happiness. 逆境不是痛苦，顺境不是幸福。
（6）The wind can’t make me disconsolate, the rain can’t make full of sorrow. neither the wind nor the rain can make me feel low. 风不能使我惆怅，雨不能使我忧伤，风和雨都不能使我的心变得不晴朗。
（7）Friend is a stream or a river, it is like fresh air all around us, I can’t tear myself away from friendship, just as, facing the green scenery, I have to stop and stay. 友情是溪是河，是一种清新的空气，在身前背后，我是这样,难以离开友情，就像面对葱茏的风景，怎么能不驻足停留。
（8） We can go far and far away, but we can never be away from mother’s mind.我们可以走得很远很远，却总也走不出母亲心灵的广场。

（9）If you have the unregretful past ,you’ll be quite all right, even if you don’t have a bright future.  即使没有辉煌的未来，如果能有无悔的往昔。
（10）Let’s ask the white clouds to tell our later generations, wherever we are, whenever we are ,we have never abandoned seeking, have never stopped marching on. 让白云告诉后人吧，无论在什么地方，无论在什么时候，我们从未停止过前进，从未放弃过追求。
（11）How grateful I am to you ,while I was walking towards you, I originally wanted to scoop up some waves ,Yet you gave me the whole ocean.
让我怎样感谢你，当我走向你的时候，我原想捧回一簇浪花，你却给我整个海洋。
（12）Perhaps ,all my life, I’ll have to trek without an ending, what has an end? Life, life. 也许，我就是这跋涉的命，生命无止境，有止境的是人生。
（13）Medals are a gust of wind , gold cups are a spatter of rain, only treks are the sun ,which shines over one’s heart for ever.  奖牌是一阵风，金杯是一阵雨，跋涉才是太阳啊，永恒地照耀心灵的土地。
（14）I can lead a simple life, but I don’t want to be an ordinary man .If I were earth, why not a hill? 日子可以普普通通，却不甘心生命也普普通通。
（15）Emotion should be like coasts, which are happy both in the morning and in the evening ; Mood should be like the pines, which are the same whether in summer or in winter.  情感还应像海岸，早也美好，晚也美好； 心境还应像松柏，夏也依然，冬也依然。
（16）Sometimes achieving success is such a simple thing, when somebody abandoned something halfway ,you didn’t. Sometimes achieving success is such a simple thing, when someone was inpatient for success, you weren’t.  成功有时就是那么简单，当别人半途而废的时候，而你你没有。成功就有时就是那么简单，当别人绞尽脑汁急于成功的时候，你没有。
（17）Hardship has made you staunch , hardship has made you courageous ,hardship has made you steady, hardship has made you outstanding.  磨难让你坚强，磨难让你勇敢，磨难让你沉着，磨难让你不凡。
（18）Though friendship is priceless, even more priceless is liberty. 这世界上，宝贵的是友情，更宝贵的是自由。
（19）Years are a book, which I’ve been reading heart and soul and year after year, when I read it, I’m very happy and very tired, too. 岁月，是一本书，我用整个身心在读，一年又一年，我读得很幸福，也很辛苦。
（20）I am happy, because I can make you happy. in fact, putting in something, makes me more joyful than gain something. 我很幸福，因为能让你快乐。其实，付出的愉悦，要胜过获得。
（21）The waters in the south are bright and gentle, the mountains in the north are rough and broad-minded. 南方的水，温柔明丽；北方的山，豁达粗犷。
（22）The autumn scenery is in the small lake, the small lake is in the scenery of autumn. The shore rests in the water, the water ripples on the shore秋色里的小湖，小湖里的秋色；岸在水中小憩，水在湖中漾波。
（23）The wind blew hard, but the tree still exists. The waves berried the rock ,but the rock still exists.  风吹过，大树依然存在；浪埋过，礁石依然存在。
（23）The path is a river, flowing to the ends of the earth, to the ends of the earth; The path is a ship, sailing for brilliance, for brilliance. 小路是条河，流向天涯，流向海角；小路是只船，驶向斑斓，驶向辉煌。
