【人物简介】

亚瑟·叔本华(德文原名:Arthur Schopenhauer1788222—1860921日,享年72岁),德国著名哲学家。亚瑟·叔本华是哲学史上第一个公开反对理性主义哲学的人并开创了非理性主义哲学的先河。

也是唯意志论的创始人和主要代表之一,认为生命意志是主宰世界运作的力量。出生于德国但泽 (今属波兰,已更名为格但斯克)的一个银行家家庭,自幼性情孤僻。父亲海因里希·弗洛里斯·叔本华(Heinrich Floris Schopenhauer)是非常成功的商人,后因疯狂投水自杀身亡。母亲约翰娜·叔本华(Johanna Schopenhauer)是当时颇有名气的作家,与歌德等文豪有所交往。他和母亲的关系一直不好,隔阂非常深,最后关系破裂。叔本华继承了父亲的财产,使他一生过着富裕的生活,叔本华因肺炎恶化死后,将所有财产捐献给了慈善事业。在很多书上都能看见他的身影。
